Dieter Thompson

Dieter Thompson is the President of Alsbridge Network Services Group (NSG), a service line of Alsbridge, Inc., specializing in the procurement, benchmarking and management of network services. Thompson is responsible for the operational success and strategic growth of Alsbridge Network Services Group and personally acts as the lead network advisor on many contract negotiations for clients.
Thompson has been a major force in the telecommunications industry since 1988 beginning his career with AT&T. In 2001 Thompson saw what others in his industry did not; a better way of benchmarking and negotiating telecommunication costs for multi-national companies. At that point, Thompson Advisory Group (TAG) was born and quickly became the industry's leading firm network advisory firm. Alsbridge Network Services Group was created when Alsbridge acquired the Thompson Advisory Group (TAG) in 2009, which Thompson had founded in 2001. Thompson is a talented network advisor who founded TAG in order to help companies achieve greater value from their network service providers by leveraging his network carrier experience and a deep database of contract and pricing terms.
During his impressive career as a network advisor, Thompson has held numerous leadership positions and launched multiple businesses which have helped shape the industry, create jobs and improve processes. Prior to forming TAG, the majority of Thompson's career was spent with AT&T where he contributed to the traditional connectivity environment within various capacities for nearly a decade. This included sales management and business development activities, specifically leading pricing and negotiation for acquiring enterprise targets. Following AT&T, Thompson joined Intermerc where he helped pioneer the development of a unique asset exchange approach using telecommunications credits and non-performing assets associated with Fortune 500 companies and large money-center banks. Thompson then co-founded a consulting company founded on procurement and vendor management in the telecommunications arena. He sold this company to ACS, a fortune 500 outsourcing company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, where he served as the Vice President of Network Sales and Advisory Services.
Thompson has personally negotiated over 800 global contracts representing $37 billion in annual revenues. His experience has uniquely positioned Thompson to become the industry-leading network advisor he is today, consulting businesses on the traditional network marketplace and the emerging outsourcing models.
