
The Shared Services model is well established however, companies just starting to streamline their functionalities, the initial process can be very confusing.
Companies have taken different approaches to Shared Services while creating a plethora of business models over the years. Models range from a single Shared Service Center (SSC) (providing multiple services to a region or subsidiary) to multiple SSC’s split by function for example (separate SSCs for IT, Human Resource (HR) and Finance). Models also vary in terms of functional and geographical scope. Some have differing commercial structures and diverse migration paths as well.
