London,
UK - October 1, 2007
- Congratulations to Barry Matthews, a senior partner
at award winning global outsourcing and shared services advisory firm
Alsbridge, who came within the final 10 in Britain’s search
for the fittest director. Launched in July 2007, The Daily
Telegraph commenced their search for Britain’s Fittest
Director in association with Club La Santa. The competition
aimed to find hard working directors who are also able to manage and
maintain a high level of fitness.
Barry finished eighth out of hundreds of participants, where the
competition involved a number of disciplines including bench and leg
presses, vertical jumps and running exercises that aimed to assess
muscular fitness, muscular power and flexibility.
His success at this event supports the Telegraph’s strapline
“to be at the top of your game professionally, you need to be
at the top of your fitness”, and this is mirrored by the
unparalleled success Alsbridge has enjoyed of late. Last
month, Alsbridge announced that it had advised at some stage on almost
25% of all F&A European deals that have gone to central or
Eastern Europe or India. Alsbridge Global Head of Finance,
Peter Scott, comments “This is a very significant market
share and what’s more it is backed up by hard
facts. It reflects our reputation and expertise in the market
place."
